Inclusive-oriented training of special educators: trends, challenges, solutions

On October 18, 2024, a Republican roundtable on the topic «Inclusively oriented training of special teachers: trends, challenges, solutions» was held on the basis of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

During the round table, the project team of the program-targeted financing of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic BR 18574162 «Inclusive-oriented training of special teachers» presented the results of a study on the state and trends in the provision of teaching staff for the process of accompanying persons with special educational needs.

Kazakh scientists in the field of special education, as well as Professor of the Department of Speech Therapy at Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences L. R. Muminova took part in the round table devoted to topical issues of ensuring an inclusive educational environment with teaching staff.

The participants of the round table discussed the issues of training and retraining of special teachers, additional education, active involvement of non-governmental organizations, public foundations and associations in the development of inclusive education.
