Seminar on the topic "Methodological foundations of the formation of functional scientific and scientific literacy of schoolchildren according to PISA research data"

On October 14, 2024, the teaching staff of Abay University: Zhumagulova Kalampyr Abzhapparovna, Maimatayeva Asiya Duysengalievna, Amanbaeva Makhabbat Batyrgaliyevna and 3rd year doctoral student 8D01513-Biology Asylbekova Bakytgul held a seminar in Shymkent on the project "Methodological foundations for the formation of functional scientific literacy of schoolchildren based on PISA research data", which is financed by the state order of October 18, 2022 235 / 30-22 -24 ZTN AR14872059. Also, the director of comprehensive school No. 53 named after Rakymov - R.K. Kundebaeva and the director of school-gymnasium No. 47 A.S. Umarova, school staff, students of grades 8-10 attended the seminar. The seminar presented the textbook "Tasks aimed at developing students` scientific literacy", the monograph "Scientific and methodological foundations for improving scientific literacy in schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan" published within the framework of the project, and analyzed the possibilities of including natural science subjects in the educational process. In addition, career guidance work was carried out on the educational programs of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai.
