As part of the "Qaryzsyz qogam" project, a seminar-training on "Personal Finance Management" was held

From November 11 to 15, 2024, a seminar-training on "Personal Finance Management" took place as part of the "Қарызсыз қоғам" (Debt-Free Society) project, jointly organized by the Department of Social and Youth Policy of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University and the "AMANAT" party.

The event, organized with the aim of improving the financial literacy of students, was attended by students of 7 faculties and 1 institute of the university and their supervisors-advisors.

The speaker of the seminar-training was Sandugash Isimova, a financial expert with the Republican Public Association "Association for the Development of Rural Business "Ұлы Дала" under the "Қарызсыз қоғам" project, as well as an investor and entrepreneur.

During the event, the speaker provided detailed explanations on the basics of financial literacy, including managing, saving, preserving, and growing personal finances; maintaining personal and family budgets; fundamental principles of discounting and practical examples; methods of financial evaluation; types of loans, calculations for borrowing, types of deposits, bank rates, interest calculations, as well as inflation, the banking system, insurance, and stock markets. Additionally, steps towards financial independence, tools for financial planning, debt optimization, and debt and credit write-offs were discussed.

Participants also received information on ways to increase income, state and private support measures for small and medium-sized businesses, effective banking tools, methodologies for creating business plans, support for participation in tenders, and shared various legal consultations.

At the end of the event, students and advisors who participated in the seminar-training were awarded certificates confirming their completion of the "Personal Finance Management" course under the "Debt-Free Society" project. Additionally, these certificates grant the holders a year of free support from a financial expert and access to legal consultations.
