THE LIGHT WAY OF "ALASH"


December 13, 2017 the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Ethnographic Association "Adyrna", the International Public Fund "Nomads of Atamur" and the Institute of History and Law KazNPU name of Abay, within the framework of the program "A course towards the future: spiritual renewal" and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the creation of the "Alash" party, a round table was held in the conference hall of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.


The aim of the round table was to familiarize historians, researchers, specialists, students and readers, as well as public and state figures with the bibliographic index "Alikhan Bukeyhan (1866-1937)" and materials of the republican scientific and practical conference "Alash Orda: "national ideas and religious tasks"dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national liberation movement "Alash".

 

Prominent historians and public figures took part in this event: the director of the National Ethnographic Association "Adyrna" Arman Aubakir, the head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan. academician TS. Sadykova Mambet Koigeldiev, chief editor of the newspaper "Kazakh Nauki" Isa Kazbek, director of the "Alash" Center of the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilev Sultan-Khan Akkuly, bibliographers and librarians of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of public organizations, as well as readers and students.

 

The moderator of the round table was the director of the Institute of History and Law, Bolat Zhumagulov, who opened the meeting and, according to the program, gave the floor to the participants of the round table.

 

The guests shared their views on how the national idea was understood by the leaders of "Alash". The round table discussed the works of the Alashordians, as well as statistical data of bibliographic indexes on issues of religion, gender equality, literacy and education.

 

The outcome of the roundtable was two key proposals: on the media coverage of the role of the national liberation movement "Alash" and the inclusion in the curricula of secondary schools, colleges, universities of relevant subjects.

 

Participants and guests positively assessed the work of the round table. At the end of the event, the guests were awarded silver medals timed to the 100th anniversary of "Alash", and letters of thanks.
