"People of the Century"

December 12, 2017 Republican Scientific and Pedagogical Library of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Institute of History and Law KazNPU them. Abay held an evening of memory "People of the Century", dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of Aspandiyar Kenzhin.

The purpose of this event was to actively stimulate the study of civil, humanitarian, patriotic and educational activities of Aspandiyar Kenzhin, a prominent patriot and wise man, teacher, state and public figure, people`s commissar of education.

In this event the grandson of Aspandiyar Kenzhin and the son of Alibi Jangildin Chingis Jangildin, the writer, the publicist, the candidate of historical sciences Beibut Koyshybaev, the main expert of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the candidate of historical sciences Aliya Suleimenova, the head of the department of external information and scientific clustering of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Shokan Valikhanov, associate professor Zirabibi Tolenova, director of the Institute of History and Law Bolat Zhumagulov, researchers, library readers and students.

The guests shared their views on the civil position of Aspandiyar Kenzhin, an overview of archival documents was presented, a discussion was held on the topic: "Aspandiyar Kenzhin: work and activities in the Alash movement". Participants of the event also could get acquainted with the book exhibition devoted to the life and work of Aspandiyar Kenzhin.

Director of the Institute of History and Law Bolat Zhumagulov said in his speech that the meeting dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Aspandiyar Kenzhin was organized with great responsibility, he stressed the timeliness of this event and its special significance for students.
