IMPORTANT ISSUES DISCUSSED AT THE SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL

Today, the regular meeting of the Scientific Council was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, where scientific and various organizational issues were comprehensively discussed. As a result of the meeting, all decisions were adopted unanimously, and the university was tasked with further improving its quality at the international level.

The meeting of the Scientific Council began with a solemn ceremony of awarding PhD diplomas to the university’s doctoral graduates. The Chairman of the Council, Rector Bolat Tilep, emphasized that this event marks an important step in strengthening the university’s scientific potential.

It should be noted that the PhD degree holders are scholars representing the country’s leading higher education institutions. They conducted their research at Abai KazNPU and successfully defended their dissertations there. Among the diploma recipients are doctoral graduates from Abai KazNPU, M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, I. Zhansugurov Zhetysu University, and Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University.

Currently, Abai KazNPU has 740 master’s students and 198 doctoral students. This represents a significant contribution to the future of national science. In his speech, Bolat Tilep noted:

“Obtaining a PhD degree is the result of a researcher’s hard work and a reflection of their contribution to national science. Abai University has created all the necessary conditions for these scholars and pays special attention to the development of scientific culture,” — he emphasized.

During the session, participants discussed issues such as integrating educational programs with open online courses, digitalizing the learning process, conducting training programs for lecturers, and implementing the corresponding roadmap. A new concept for organizing students’ teaching practice was approved, and the expansion of regional practice bases was also considered.

Additionally, the meeting focused on strengthening academic integrity, improving the system for monitoring the quality of scientific results, expanding practical experience, and aligning educational programs with global standards.

At the conclusion of the meeting, all decisions were adopted unanimously, and responsibility for their implementation was assigned to the relevant vice-rectors and structural departments.
