MEETING WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF THE “SIRIUS” EDUCATIONAL CENTER
Today, a meeting with representatives of the “Sirius” Educational Center was held at Abai University. During the meeting, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulzat Kobenova, Vice Minister of Education Shynar Akparova, and the university leadership discussed cooperation issues with the delegation from Russia. The center is staff presented their new ideas and projects in the field of education.
Alexander Lvov, Advisor to the Head of the “Sirius” Educational Center, and Kristina Raguzova, Deputy Head of the “Talent and Success” Educational Center, made a special visit to Abai KazNPU. The main goal of the center in the field of education is the early identification, development, and professional support of children with special abilities in the fields of arts, sports, and natural sciences. The center has been successfully operating since 2014 on the basis of Olympic infrastructure.
“Our center pays great attention to the early identification of talented children and the development of their abilities. In accordance with this, each child is provided with an individual learning plan and in-depth education. More than 100 teachers and coaches work at the center. We came to Abai KazNPU to establish a partnership. The training of qualified and modern educators is always important,” said Alexander Lvov, Advisor to the Head of the “Sirius” Educational Center.
Bolat Tilep, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai KazNPU, spoke about the university is mission, development directions, and achievements. He also expressed readiness to conduct joint scientific research and exchange experience in pedagogy, giftedness, cognitive development, and new educational technologies.
“The training of high-quality pedagogical staff has always been an important task. After all, a teacher is a person who shapes a nation. In the context of global changes, we pay special attention to preparing in-demand specialists. A teaching methodology based on a child is abilities is extremely necessary today. Therefore, we are always open to innovative ideas and cooperation,” said Bolat Anapiyauly.
During the meeting, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education Gulzat Kobenova noted that the international cooperation of domestic universities is actively developing. Following the instructions of the Head of State, branches of leading foreign universities are being opened in the country, and in-demand specialists are being trained. She also emphasized the high level of international partnership of Kazakhstani universities.
After the meeting, the vice ministers and Russian guests visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, as well as the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics.
