AN IMPORTANT MEETING ON INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION TOOK PLACE

 

Today, Bolat Tilep, the Chairman of the Board and Rector of Abai Kazakh National University, hosted world-renowned scientists. The international meeting was attended by prominent figures from leading universities and research centers around the globe. The main purpose of the event was to strengthen global partnerships in education and science, identify new scientific directions, and develop joint research initiatives.

 

Vice President for Internationalization of the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), Lo Sing Kai, attended the meeting in person. Additionally, distinguished experts from leading universities in Europe, Asia, and the USA were introduced. Among them were Professor Clea Fernandez from Columbia University, Professor Bakhyt Alipova from the University of Kentucky (USA), recognized for her research in engineering and artificial intelligence, Professor Zeynep Kiziltepe from Bosphorus University, Turkey, and Professor Ugwani Christian Sande from the University of Nigeria. Also present was Mr. Mark Uzan, widely recognized in the field of international financial policy, founder and executive director of the Bretton Woods Committee.

 

Researchers working at the intersection of inclusive education and artificial intelligence, such as Professor Yanji Song, international expert on inclusive education Professor Yuen Chi Pun Kevin, and professors Sing Kuen-Fang Kenneth, Mak Wing Wa Pauline, as well as Professor Sukhjeet Singh from Chitkara University, India, were also recognized as partner-scholars of the university.

 

During the meeting, a wide range of topics were discussed, including deepening scientific ties between Abai University and foreign institutions, developing joint research projects, expanding academic exchanges, and modernizing the education system. Rector Bolat Tilep emphasized the strategic importance of the meeting, highlighting the university is openness to international cooperation and its continued engagement with the global academic community.

 

The distinguished scholars included experts from various fields of global education and science. Their research in areas such as inclusive education, artificial intelligence, pedagogical innovations, engineering, finance, and social sciences opens up new possibilities for future development.

 

The involvement of leading foreign university experts with high-ranking publications in scientific journals in post-graduate teaching at universities in 2025 is being carried out with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and additional funding for professors at Abai Kazakh National University.
