Scientists of the university support 35 patents and 215 copyright certificates for innovative developments. In 2017, 3 new patents and 15 copyright certificates were received. In 2017 US patent was received: Shokanov A.K. 4012TS-1NCG from 27.01.2017. Method for design and tracking of flyashtracers using nuclear fysical measurements in multistage hydraulic fracturing and reinjection.

Total at the moment there are 38 relevant patents and 230 copyright certificates. 3 applications for the Eurasian patent are submitted

The university is working on the protection of intellectual property rights. Thus, in the period 2003-2015 teachers received 31 innovative patents, 149 copyright certificates. Patents are received in the field of innovative technologies in energy, space, environmental protection. Author`s certificates are received, basically, on textbooks for secondary school, approved and recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for software products in the field of e-learning, monographs.
