Sportakiad «Densaulyk - 2018»

From January 9 to January 13, 2018, the Spartakiad «Densaulyk-2018» was held at the University in order to promote healthy lifestyles and increase the collective`s interest in sport.

Spartakiad was held in such sports as volleyball, table tennis, chess, futsal, skating and skiing. About 300 members of the faculty and staff of the University took part in the sports competitions.

Throughout the sports days the struggle was intense and fascinating. All the teams showed themselves on the best side.

On January 13, 2018, the closing ceremony of the «Densaulyk-2018» Spartakiad was held, at which the results of the competitions were summed up and the winning teams and best players were awarded.

The solemn event was opened by the first pro-rector of the University of Maktagali Bektemesov. He thanked all the participants for their diligence and congratulated them on the successful completion of the Games.

According to the results of the games in the team event, the «Oner ulandary» team won the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports, having won the first prize place. The second place was awarded to the team «Polyglot» of the Institute of Philology and Polyglot Education. The third place was taken by the team of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics «Fizmat-90».

Winners and prize-winners were awarded with diplomas and money prizes. For the first place was awarded a cash prize of 150 000 tenge, for the second place - 120 000 tenge, for the third place - 100 000 tenge.

The remaining 5 teams that took an active part were awarded cash prizes of 30 000 tenge.

In addition to the main awards, diplomas, cups and cash prizes were awarded to the best players, as well as teams that showed the will to win and distinguished themselves by active play.

The team of sports judges for fair and impartial judging was awarded with letters of thanks and money prizes of 5000 tenge.

Winter Olympics, timed to the 90th anniversary of the University, raised the team spirit and gave a sporting mood to all participants.
