Educational and methodical activity of the chair is carried out by teachers on the basis of the state standard in accordance with the curriculum, and the chair also has the appropriate educational, methodical and working documentation.
The chair has a methodical bureau that develops various forms of monitoring students` knowledge, prepares milestone and final test tasks, compiles test tasks and state tickets, develops model and work programs, recommendations for improving teaching methods, and has a lecture fund in all disciplines. Teachers of the chair are actively introducing new technologies in teaching oriental languages using audio and video materials. In particular, the project methodology, the global simulation method, and the authentic teaching method are partially introduced. Internet is widely used. Members of the chair draw up new curricula, teaching aids in accordance with modern requirements.
Educational and methodical work of the Chair is aim to: - developing of educational programs on specialties; - lecturing and conducting seminars and practical classes on methods of teaching foreign languages and the theory and practice of translation; - carrying out of special courses on actual problems of foreign language education and transfer; - training undergraduate students on actual problems of methods of teaching foreign languages and translation; - development and improvement of the content of theoretical and practical courses of disciplines; - the supervisor of the final qualification works. - development UMKD, QED, textbooks, manuals, etc.
The Chair provides educational and methodical seminars, trainings , workshops according to the plan approved by the Chair meeting. In teaching seminars the lecturers discuss the most topical issues of introduction of innovative technologies in foreign languages teaching and translation.
Teachers of the Chair organized and conducted the following activities: 1. Seminars in the framework of the DAAD project "Germanistische Institutspartnerschaft" with representatives of the Pedagogical University of Freiburg (Germany) 2. Lectures, seminars and workshops of leading professors of foreign universities of Turkey. Iran, China, Russia, France, Germany, Romania. 3. Methodological seminar on problems and prospects of multilingual education.
