«Round table» on the formation of anti-corruption culture

 

On 23 October, 2018 in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was held a «round table», at which the project «Sanaly Urpak» was considered. Kairzhan Tokushev, the head of this project, developed it within the framework of the Strategy «Kazakhstan-2050: a new political course of the established state». This strategy «erects» corruption «... to the rank of a direct threat to national security and aims the state and society to unite efforts in the fight against this negative phenomenon».


The first vice-rector of Abai KazNPU attended the event Maktagali Bektemesov, heads of departments, professor of jurisprudence of KazNPU. During the round table, issues of the negative impact of corruption on political and public institutions were considered, and special attention was paid to the fact that corruption is a serious threat to the future development of the country.


The participants of the «round table» noted: practice shows that the fight against corruption cannot be reduced only to attracting responsible persons who are guilty of corruption violations; There is a need for a system of legal, economic, educational, educational, organizational and other measures aimed at preventing corruption and eliminating the causes causing it.


In the course of the «round table», issues related to a unique scientific and educational cluster on the formation of anti-corruption consciousness and anti-corruption culture that had no analogues in the world were also discussed.
