Meeting of the Rector of the University with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On 15November, a meeting of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev with the rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Takir Balykbayev was held.

During the meeting, the Head of State was briefed on the activities of the university and the work carried out in the framework of the implementation of the October 2018 Message «Growth of Kazakhstan`s welfare: improving incomes and quality of life».

The President of Kazakhstan congratulated the rector of KazNPU on the 90th anniversary of the university and conveyed congratulations to the faculty and students on the occasion of a significant date.

mphasizing the role of Abai KazNPU in the process of formation and development of the higher education system in the country, the Head of State emphasized that the important task is to raise the status of a teacher: «Your university should be at the forefront in its implementation... You need to work on this issue... It is necessary to cooperate with leading universities in the world. You should share experiences and work together».

Rector Takir Balykbayev told the President about the results of the implementation of the university development plans, which, according to the QS World University Rankings 2019, entered the top 500 best universities in the world. This is definitely a great achievement! The rector also informed the Head of State on the participation of the university in the process of developing the draft law «On the status of the teacher».
