If you want to become a Man...

On the 13th of December of this year, with the support of the Department for Education and Social Development, a literary and educational event «If you want to become a Man» was organized by Hakim Abai Research Center dedicated to the works of Abai Kunanbayuly, the great son of the Kazakh people, a genius poet and thinker of Kazakh literature.

The literary and educational event was attended by the Sorbonna-Kazakhstan Institute, the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science, the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, the Institute of Natural Science and Geography, students of the 1st Institute of Art, Culture and Sports as well as the Director of the Research Institute Hakim Abay, Zhabal Shoyynbet, Abay studies, scientist Mekemtas Myrzakhmetuly, Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Multilingual Education Baltabay Abdigaziuly, Deputy Director of the Department of Education, Social Development and Youth Policy Kazyna Bekpenbetova, teachers of the department of the Kazakh language and literature named after S. Kirabaev.

According to the speech of moderator of the event, a teacher of «Abai studies» subject, Makhash Gaukhar, the peculiarity of the cultural and educational event is that not only by heart they read poems, edifying words and sang songs of Abai, but also sorted out, revealed the meaning, defined the terms «Zhauan marttilik», «Hauas» and others, which embrace and convey the artistic power of the words of Abai`s edification, wise philosophical thought, his social and religious worldview. Abai studies scholar, Mekemtas Myrzakhmetuly and director of the research center Hakim Abai, Zhabal Shoynybet expressed satisfaction with the development of terms by first-year students of the Russian groups. The decoration of the literary-educational event was the performance of Abai`s songs, songs with deep meaning, songs full of novelty in rhythmics, and the people remembered forever. As Abai wrote,
Oldi deuge bola ma, oilandarshy,
Olmeitugyn artyna soz kaldyrgan,
Abai lives in our hearts with his unique poems, as a great bright person, and we think, he will live forever in the hearts of people!
