1) organisation and expansion of international relations of the university;
2) informing the staff and students about the state and prospects of development of university education abroad;
3) implementation of activities to ensure the participation of teaching staff and students in international grants, projects, competitions and exchange programmes;
4) organisation of international meetings, conferences, symposiums, meetings at the university;
5) organisation of timely informing the structural subdivisions of directorates about planned international symposiums, colloquiums, etc., including those with participation of Abai KazNPU, participation in their holding;
6) organisation of the process of receiving invitations from foreign universities for employees and teachers of the University to participate in the competition "Bolashak";
7) direct work with embassies and representative offices of other countries in Kazakhstan, international associations, cultural centres;
8) organisation of receptions of foreign delegations in Abai KazNPU;
9) representing the interests of the university in international organisations, at international exhibitions on education, science and culture;
10) organisation of the University`s work with Abai Centres in foreign partner universities;
11) solving current and prospective issues of ICD activity;
12) observance of the Internal Regulations;
13) observance of ethical norms of communication in the team;
14) observance of confidentiality of official information;
15) control over compliance with international legal and regulatory acts, orders, agreements with foreign universities;
15) control over compliance with international legal and regulatory acts, orders, agreements with foreign partners of the University;
16) providing information to faculties and other departments on opportunities in the field of international grant projects;
17) negotiating with international universities on academic mobility and internships;
18) control over approval and signing of documents with HEIs and updating the partner database;
19) visiting current and potential partner universities for the purpose of co-operation and development of the partner network;
20) updating the database for the University website for the Department page;
21) meeting reporting deadlines;
22) Maintaining work with media resources;
23) Other duties: strengthening liaison with embassies/consulates in order to organise various cultural and social events at the University;
24) Maintaining the records of the Department, documenting and archiving records in proper order;
25) smooth running of the Department in the absence of any member of the unit and liaising with the clients of the Department (students, parents, external organisations, MES, etc.) To be responsible for the property and budget of the international Department.
26) Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, fulfil other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
