The name of the vacant position:

Chief Specialist of the Department of Public Relations

The main functional responsibilities of the structural unit:

1. Planning and organization of information programs related to the Company`s activities;

2. Creation of a system of sources of business and PR information;

3. Formation of a positive image of Society among the public with the help of mass media;

4. Representation of Society`s attitude to socio-political and other socially significant issues through the mass media;

5. Dissemination in print, on radio and TV of materials on the main directions of development of the Society, the socio-economic situation of the university and the industry as a whole, on scientific, creative and sporting achievements of the Society;

6. Summarizing, analyzing and bringing to the attention of the Company`s management materials published in the press and dedicated to the Company and the industry as a whole;

7. Responding to critical remarks addressed to the Society in the media;

8. Organization and holding of meetings and interviews in the media on topical issues of the Company`s current activities;

9. Preparation of videos, creation and replenishment of video and photographic materials about the achievements of students and teaching staff, about the activities of the Society and its divisions;

10. Preparation of regular and special issues of the university newspaper "Abai University";

11. Organization of work to maintain and improve the image of the Company in the external environment;

12. Planning and organizing, together with institutes, departments and other structural units, work to maintain and improve information exchange within the university;

13. Organization of work on the study of public opinion in order to develop recommendations for the formation of a positive image of the Society;

14. Information support of the Company`s website.

Main job responsibilities:

1. to monitor the effectiveness of the organization`s activities in the field of public relations;

2. to ensure timely elimination of deficiencies in the organization`s activities that have a negative impact on the reputation of the organization;

3. prepare information materials, analytical reports on thematic issues for requests from government agencies, national companies, other educational institutions and citizens;

4. to ensure continuous improvement of the organization`s activities based on the introduction of advanced technologies in the field of public relations;

5. compose texts of informational and other messages and post them on social media;

6. Conduct comprehensive public opinion research in order to adjust existing plans, programs and concepts of the organization`s foreign and domestic policy in the field of public relations.

7. to organize the effective work of the organization in the field of public relations.

8. Process graphic and text materials using software tools and platforms;

9. conduct daily monitoring in the media;

10. analyze the topics of social media sites;

11. prepare image materials;

12. to carry out the instructions of the Director of the Department.

Business trips:

If necessary

Education:

Higher education in journalism or PR

Required professional experience (duration, field, other)

Experience in a similar position for at least 4 years.

Personal competencies and qualities:

Responsibility, punctuality, decency, striving for new knowledge.

Knowledge of languages, including the state language (list of languages that the candidate must speak)

Fluent in Kazakh and Russian languages.
