Acceptance of documents for the Abai scholarship program starts

The identification of candidates consists of two stages.

Stage I

In the 2023/2024 academic year, the holders of the Abai scholarship can be students of 2-4 courses studying under a state educational order and on a fee-based basis, rated only "excellent" (A, A-), and it will be awarded for one academic period.

Students receiving a Presidential Scholarship cannot participate in the competition for the Abai scholarship.

Applicants must submit the following documents to the Directorate of the Sorbonne Institute-Kazakhstan and the deans of faculties:

A statement addressed to the Chairman of the Board-the Rector of the University.
Transcript.
Copies of documents confirming achievements (diplomas, certificates).
A copy of the identity card.

The acceptance of documents for the Abai scholarship will last until April 8, 2024.

Stage II

At the second stage, persons with relevant documents are required to make a report on their research works within the framework of the "Decade of Science" and take a prize.

According to the results of these two stages, the winners will be determined in accordance with the quota provided by each institute/faculty.

Students who have won the Abai scholarship are provided with a monthly scholarship in the amount of 100,000 (one hundred thousand) tenge.

The selection of candidates is carried out by an independent commission. The results of the competition will be published on the university`s website in April 2024.
