Meeting and Round Table with delegation from University of Tsukuba

 

  

 

On 18 March Division of General and Applied Psychology, Institute for Pedagogy and Psychology and Department for International Affairs held International round table Innovative Approaches in Preparing Pre-Service Pedagogues and Psychologists at HEI`s of Japan and Kazakhstan.


Delegation from the University of Tsukuba led by Prof.Hodaka Fujii, Assistant Prof. Kuanysh Tastanbekova, Assistant Prof. Yusuke Endo, junior researcher Rei Tanaka, graduate student Hidemi Hiraoka, graduate student Linda Yun, doctoral student Ja Eeon Yang, doctoral student Chika Ebata, doctoral student Masaki Takano and representatives of Institute for Pedagogy and Psychology, Abai KazNPU and al-Farabi KazNU took part in the round table.


The aim of the round table was to extensively discuss relevant challenges of psychological and pedagogical education in Kazakhstan, Japan and other countries, international experience exchange.


Within the round table the following issues were discussed: pre-service teacher training, designing study programmes in Psychology, moral education in contemporary Germany, professional training in primary school in Cambodia and the International Baccalaureate.


The round table meeting ended with recommendations on further collaboration in education and research.


Delegations arrived in Almaty for their four-day visit to Abai KazNPU. Abai KazNPU arranged for delegations a range of meeting with teaching staff of Institute for Pedagogy and Psychology and visits to Early Years setting N27 Akbulak, al-Farabi KazNU and Zhurgenov Kazakh National Art Academy.
