Republican subject olympiad

On March 18-19, 2019, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University held the final stage of the republican subject Olympiad «Abai syiy - 2019» among pupils of the 11th grades of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the RERC «Baldauren-Kapshagay» in Kapshagay of the Almaty region.

The Olympiad was dedicated to identifying gifted students and uncovering the creative abilities of talented high school students from Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Almaty, Zhambyl, Aktobe, Turkestan, Kyzylorda and East Kazakhstan regions, Applications for the first stage were submitted by 2409 students who registered with the university online system. 412 students were enrolled in the second stage.

First Vice-Rector of the University of Maktagali Bektemesov, speaking at the opening ceremony of the Olympiad, wished the participants good luck and reminded that the winners will receive a discount on university tuition fees: 1st place - 100%, 2nd place - 50%, 3rd place - 30%.

The Olympiad was held in the following subjects: «Kazakh language and literature», «Russian language and literature», «English language», «History of Kazakhstan», «World history», «Mathematics, physics, computer science», «Chemistry, biology, geography».

The winners of the 2nd stage of the Republican subject Olympiad «Abai syiy-2019» were awarded with diplomas: I degree - 9 students, II degree - 20 students; Grade III - 18; In addition, 49 schoolchildren were awarded a 10% discount for 1 year of study at the university in the 2019-2020 school year.
