II Kazakh-French Forum «Security: the role of the state and society»

On April 19, the II Kazakh-French Forum «Security: the role of the state and society» was held at the Novotel Hotel.

The forum was organized by the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University and the French Embassy in our country with the support of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy, as well as French Foreign Trade Advisors and the France-Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce.

Rector Takir Balykbayev, President of the Constitutional Council of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Mami, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Philippe Martiné, Deputy Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Igor Rogov, Consul General Alexis Shakhtakhtinsky, Secretary General of the Supreme Body on Transparency in Public Life Lisa Lamgani (France), Deputy Prosecutor of Paris, former anti-terrorism judge Beatrice Brueger, expert in international and strategic relations, expert of the Ministry of Defense Pierre Conaise (France), president of INALCO Manuel Frank (France), Head of the Center for University and Scientific Partnerships (Europe, Asia, North America) in the General Directorate for Globalization, Culture, Education and International Development of the FR Martina Roussel (France), Attache, Counselor of the French Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Co-Director of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute Gilles Mametz, also prominent EU experts, heads of state bodies of the two countries, representatives of the diplomatic corps, eminent Kazakh and foreign scientists, public figures, scientific experts from French research institutes, rectors and representatives of renowned French universities: Sorbonne University, University of Strasbourg, University of Lorraine, University of Toulouse, University of Poitiers, etc.

In his welcoming address, Rector Takir Balykbayev explained the purpose of this forum, highlighting the priority of the topic: «On this platform, we should discuss current issues - rule of law and security; the national interests of diplomacy, digitization as a new safety factor, education, health and safety, financial security and business in the context of globalization, we need to find solutions to these problems and share our experiences ...»

Within the framework of the forum, the most important memorandums were signed with the leadership of the University of Sorbonne (University Paris 13) of France on the training of specialists in the program «Management in the Health System», as well as in the field of fiscal law, etc. The event was completed with a graduation ceremony for the best graduates of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute of Kazakh National Pedagogical University from the President of INALCO (Sorbonne University).

The international forum was very informative and effective, the discussion of the issues presented at the seminar was constructive.
