Teaching of Abai - the basis of spiritual modernization
On August 10, 2019, at the initiative of the youth of the university, an informative action «Abaydy oky, tanyrka!» dedicated to the birthday of the great Kazakh poet and philosopher-thinker Abai Kunanbaev was held.
The event began at the metro station «Abai». During the action young people of the university gave passengers questions and quizzes on Khakim`s creativity. In turn, the passengers, who were distinguished by their active activity, received special prizes. Further, the action was continued at the Republic Palace. A monument to Abaі Kunanbayev, located in the middle of the square, was decorated with a flower bouquet, and the breath of the great poet was respected. Tourists from Japan also took an active part in the cognitive activities of young people and were awarded special souvenirs.
A large-scale action ended with the holding of a round table «Abai ilimі - Rukhani zhanagiru negіzі». The meeting was opened by the vice-rector for educational work and social development Zhantabek Ishpekbayev. In his speech, he noted the positive role of the Abai heritage not only for Kazakhstan, but also for the whole world, emphasizing the huge contribution of the university to the popularization of the heritage of the great steppe poet.
In turn, the chief specialist of the Project Office of the «Rukhani Zhangyru» program, the Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Baigali Yesenaliev, made an informative report on the poet`s work, causing great interest among students.
Bolysbek Battalkhanov, a researcher at the Department of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Abai KazNPU spoke about the philosophical views of the great humanist on the problem of morality. Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, 3rd-year doctoral student Ruslan Seitkaziev made a brief philosophical and psychological analysis of Abai`s works.
The cognitive action increased the interest of young people in the poet`s work and in his spiritual heritage. It was noted that the views of the great steppe humanist are relevant to this day.
