International Cooperation

It is drawn special attention to the expansion and strengthening of International cooperation in the Department. Teachers of the department represented scientific reports in the Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, England, Germany, Greece, Turkey, as well as in the cities of the near abroad: Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Ufa, Tambov, Simferopol, Novosibirsk, Moscow, Nezhin, Perm etc.

Department of Practical Languages pays special attention to International relations which are in close contact with the leading educational institutions, scientists, universities of different countries.

On December 20, 2016 solemn opening of the Center of the affiliate network "Pushkin Institute" took place at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai. It is planned to conduct refresher courses for Russian-language teachers, to teach Russian for various categories of students, to prepare and conduct certification testing in the Russian language, to carry out cultural and educational activities including through distance learning technologies and open educational resources in the Russian language in the Center base. Bakitgul Zhumagulova, professor of our Department is the official representative and head of the affiliate network of "A.S. Pushkin Institute and KazNPU named after Abai".

Annually, courses to improve the qualifications of Russian language teachers, seminars, round tables and master classes with the participation of leading experts from Russia and the Department are held according to the Agreement with the Institute of The Russian Language named after Pushkin (RF) within the framework of the affiliate network "Abai KazNPU and A.S. Pushkin Institute". On December 19, 2016 it was held educational and awareness-raising events for the Russian Language teachers of Almaty at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai during which the partner network "Pushkin Institute", Zhukova Arina Gennadievna, candidate of philological sciences, associated professor, the head of the Russian literature and intercultural communication Department delivered a presentation about educational and awareness programs of A.S. Pushkin Institute on the line of Public Council of Base organization on teaching the Russian language in the CIS countries candidate of philological sciences, associated professor of the preparatory faculty RKI Paremuzashvili Eka Elgudzhevna presented the program of the preparatory faculty of the SIRL; Shurupova Irina Viktorovna, associated professor of the department of internship of foreign specialists provided comprehensive information about the system of certification testing of SIRL named after A.S. Pushkin; Truhanova Darya Sergeevna, the teacher of the Department of Internships of foreign specialists made a presentation "Resources of the portal "Education in Russian". On November 14-15, 2017, refresher courses of the Russian language teachers "Modern Educational Technologies in the Teaching of the Russian Language" were conducted where the courses were listened by the teachers of 16 universities in Almaty. Natalia Vladimirovna Kulibina, professor, doctor of pedagogical sciences, head of the Scientific and Methodical Department of the Department of Innovation Activity and Continuing Education of the State Institute of Russian Language named after A.S. Pushkin, Head of the Russian Center made a report.

In order to strengthen the International relations of the Department and close cooperation between the Department and Educational Institutions, Educational Institutions of the near (Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, etc.) and foreign countries (Poland, Slovenia, United Arab Emirates, Korea, Great Britain) correspondence is being kept about current projects, upcoming scientific events. Close direct scientific ties have been established with Moscow State Regional University, Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky, there are also correspondence on partnership with the editorial staff of the magazine "Russian language in the center of Europe", Slovenia. In general, the prospects for the development of International relations of Practical Languages Department are expanding every year. As an extension of International contacts one can mention the publications of the Department staff in foreign publications, the active participation of the faculty at International scientific forums, conferences.

Members of the Department closely cooperate with scientific organizations and universities of both distant and near abroad.

Cooperation with foreign scientific organizations and universities is carried out in various forms:
-training;

- scientific internships;
- participation in international conferences, symposiums, seminars, competitions and congresses;
- invitation of colleagues from foreign partner universities to conduct lectures, refresher courses;
- participation in the work of the meeting of the Public Council in the Basic Organization of the SIRL named after A.S. Pushkin;
- lecturing, conducting master classes by teachers of our Department in the near abroad;
- training in magistracy and doctoral studies.
