The II regional forum dedicated to the Day of Spiritual consent in the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Taldykorgan
On October 17, 2019, in Taldykorgan, the II regional forum of religious scholars and leaders of local religious associations was held on the topic «Secular society: relationship between religion and traditions», dedicated to the Day of Spiritual consent. Deputy Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Marat Azilkhanov attended the event. He noted the importance of this holiday for the unity of all the people of our country.
The forum addressed important issues related to the development of interethnic and interfaith relations, the spiritual development of humanity. An analysis of the religious situation in the country was made and the problems of the spread of radical movements in society, especially among young people, were discussed.
It was noted that Kazakhstan has been celebrating the day of Spiritual consent for 27 years. It was established on October 18, 1992 at the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elbasy N. Nazarbayev. Participants of the event emphasized that representatives of 18 faiths living in our country show a unique example of unity, friendship and harmony. Our state has rich experience in maintaining and strengthening peace between representatives of more than 130 nationalities belonging to all existing religions. This was once again proved by the photo exhibition, the exhibition of artworks «Religion - the spiritual foundation of the unity of the people» and the viewing of a thematic video film held as part of this important event.
The forum was attended by representatives of akimats of the region and the city of Almaty, the Nur Otan party, the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and the regional council of veterans, as well as the media and higher educational institutions. Abai KazNPU was presented by the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of our university, PhD student Ruslan Seitkaziev.
Following the event, an appeal was made to all Kazakhstanis.
