Summer semester is organized on the initiative of the student to meet the needs for additional training, corrections individual curriculum, academic debt elimination or differences in the curriculum. The duration of the summer term (up to 6 weeks) determined by the economic calendar of the educational process by specialties and courses

The right to perform the summer semester students have the following:

achievers as "good" or "excellent" ( for passing additional accelerated learning , including students from other higher education institutions );

not admitted to the interim evaluation on the results of the rating control;

having academic arrears in the past academic periods;

complied with the syllabus quite volume , but less than the minimum transfer point , in order to improve grade point average (GPA) at the expense of re-examination of individual disciplines (except discipline "History Kazakhstan " on which surrenders state exam );

with the difference in the reduction of academic, transfer, returning from sabbatical;

students from other universities in the framework of academic mobility.

Front Desk provides students the right to pass in the summer semester of additional courses with the following requirements:

students should be transferred to the next course without academic debts;

group of students should be cost-effective;

number of additional disciplines should depend on the level of the annual GPA student;

Learner before the summer examinations registration department delivers a reasoned statement of intent to participate in the summer semester . Student can register for no more than 12 credits;

Learner is the summer semester individual curriculum , which is approved in the prescribed manner;

Financing education in-year term is only at the expense of the student, regardless of the form of training (paid, grant);

Education in the summer semester involves the following learning activities:

development of academic disciplines, the educational plan specialty;

development of any training courses taught at the University of specialties in order to expand professional horizons;

receiving advice.

In the summer semester, all kinds of control of educational achievements:

current , mid-term monitoring of progress, interim certification in the form of oral , written examination or testing;

Academic achievement of students in the summer semester of the score evaluated by rating letter system of knowledge assessment in accordance with the state-required public education standard monitoring and evaluation of knowledge;

Results of examinations on subjects of the curriculum specialty mastered during the summer semester , included in the calculation of the transfer points (GPA) for the passed course in the current academic year;

Students from other universities who have been trained in the summer semester of KazNPU named after Abai within academic mobility of students , issued a transcript for credit transfer on disbursed disciplines.
