Abai University has improved its position in the QS University Rankings


Abai University has demonstrated the best results in the following categories: International Faculty Ratio, Faculty/Student Ratio, International Scientific Relations and Employer Reputation. And it ranked 70th place in the QS University Rankings: Emerging Europe & Central Asia 2022.


On December 15, 2021, the British rating agency QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) published the results of the globally recognized ranking of emerging countries in Europe and Central Asia - QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia University Rankings 2022.


Among 451 universities from emerging countries of Europe and Central Asia, Abai University improved its position compared to the previous year and moved up from 82nd to 70th place, and entered the Top 100 Universities.

Abai University has shown significant growth in seven out of ten indicators: «International Scientific Relations» (70.2 points) and «Employer Reputation» (55.4 points). Also, the «Faculty/Student Ratio» indicator (90.7 points) and the «International Faculty Ratio» indicator (78.8) have increased.


The main criteria for assessing the ranking of a university are:
- Faculty/Student Ratio;
- Share of Faculty Members with a Degree
- International Faculty Ratio and International Student Ratio;
- Academic Reputation indicators;
- Employer Reputation;
- Number of Publications per Faculty Teacher;
- Number of Citations in Scientific Articles
- Level of Online Presence and International Co-authorship.
