For the first time in Kazakhstan and Russia on March 16, 2016 on the basis of Kazakh national pedagogical university named after Abai (Almaty, Kazakhstan), Krasnoyarsk state pedagogical university named after V.P. Astafyev (Krasnoyarsk, Russia), Lesosibirsk pedagogical institute - branch of Siberian federal university (Lesosibirsk, Russia) and a number of schools of Almaty, Krasnoyarsk, Lesosibirsk and Achinsk as well as with the participation of IT-business representatives a demonstration pilot mega-lesson was conducted within international educational cluster.
The participants of the international educational cluster from Kazakhstan are: teaching staff (Y.Y. Bidaibekov, G.B. Kamalova, B.G. Bostanov), magistrands and doctoral students of computer science and informatization of education chair of KazNPU named after Abai, also 10-th grade pupils and computer science teacher (G.K. Mametova) of the specialized gymnasium №12 named after Sh.Ualikhanov. Coordinator`s role is played by Zh.K. Akkassynova a doctoral student of «6D011100-computer science» specialty of computer science and informatization of education chair of KazNPU named after Abai.
The subject and goals of the mega-lesson - training pupils programming game programs, training students, magistrands of higher education institutions of technology of conducting mega-lessons and mastering the roles of distance tutors, improving skills of teachers in the sphere of network and cloud technology, a collaborate research of HEIs educators and implementation of their ideas for the development of education of the future.
At the mega-lesson a scientific supervisor of the project, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor of basic chair of computer science and information technology in education of KSPU named after V.P. Astafyev Nikolay Insebovich Pak addressed a welcoming speech to the participants. Then Margarita Khamitova a manager of Digital Mind Development IT-firm gave a talk about programmer profession. Candidate of physics and mathematics sciences, associate professor of basic chair of computer science and information technology in education of KSPU named after V.P. Astafyev Dmitriy Valeryevich Romanov conducted a master class about stages of design of gaming programs.
The main idea of organization and conducting international mega-lesson in such form is increasing pupils motivation to learn programming which is considered to be one of the more difficult school themes. International nature of the mega-lesson allows erasing the borders and to communicate with foreign universities for the purpose to achieve a joint cooperation.
Several intraschool groups have been formed in each school. Also, one international group which consists of pupils from different schools of the educational cluster has been formed. Pupils are involved in cognitive, training and research, practice-oriented, creative activities related to the development of gaming software. Each group was provided with students, magistrands of pedagogical HEIs, who perform the role of tutors.
The next time on April 13, 2016 conducting of final mega-lesson on programming is planned. At the final mega-lesson will be sum up the results of joint works of school groups which were performed with help of students, magistrands, computer science teachers and teaching staff of HEI, who form international educational cluster.
