Conference on training of students of the dual education

 

On November 2, 2022, within the framework of the project «Introduction of dual system in Kazakhstan - KAZDUAL», Erasmus+ program, the conference on industrial training and practice of students of the dual education program was held at the «NGS New Generation School».

By 2022-2023 academic year the educational program «B01303-Basic Education with Information and Communication Technologies (Bachelor)» was developed together with NGS School. The program takes into account various aspects necessary for the implementation of the dual education in this specialty, including the training of primary education specialist with relevant professional competences. The curriculum includes the necessary disciplines aimed at the formation of general, professional, personal competencies of the future primary school teacher for the new generation school.

 

At the conference, the associate professor of the Department of Primary Education of Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Larissa Lebedeva made the report «Organization of training practice for the 1st year and industrial training of the dual system of education» and professor of the Department of Primary Education, teacher of primary school pedagogy Asyl Arenova - «Features of the discipline «Pedagogy of primary school» for students of dual education». The 1st year students of the dual group, as well as 2nd year students studying in the usual program with the aim of comparative analysis of these programs took part in the conference.

 

The first months of the dual mode program have demonstrated the importance of constant monitoring of the program, tripartite agreements and the development of joint apprenticeship plans. NGS Director Kim Irina, Deputy Director of Training and Development Department Anastasia Maistrenko and Director of Academic Performance (Primary School) Raushan Bekmuratova conducted analysis of initial testing and student self-presentation. During the conference, participants were introduced to the features of the learning process and given a tour of the school. Students participated with great interest in the discussion about the new format of the school and explored the workspace of the different departments of the school.

 

The pilot program takes the first steps in implementing dual education in pedagogical universities in Kazakhstan and has a positive effect on students` desire to master the profession.
