Results of the Competition of research papers and projects of primary school students have been summed up

The April 8, 2023 within the framework of the Decade of Science of Abai KazNPU and the International Scientific and Practical Conference of Scientists and Teachers «Innovations in Education: Experience, Problems and Prospects», a competition for research papers and projects by junior schoolchildren was held at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology for the first time. Regulations on the competition approved by the Academic Council of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology on December 6, 2022 (Minutes № 4). Developers - M.A.Absatova, Deputy Director of IPP for Science and International Relations, A.E. Zhumabayeva, Head of the Department of Primary Education, teachers J.K. Astambaeva, L.A. Lebedeva and A.B. Akpaeva.

38 works were submitted to the semi-final stage. The works were sorted by members of the organizing committee - primary school teachers of the author`s school named Zhania Aubakirova Kulakova E.A. and Degtyareva K.V.

In order to choose the works for the final, the jury members were provided with the questionnaire at the link and the necessary materials for it.

The jury conducted an electronic vote on the criteria presented in the Regulation. The projects were evaluated according to various criteria, such as the originality of the idea, the quality of the research, the clarity and persuasiveness of the presentation, etc. According to the results of the average score for awarding diplomas of 1-3 degrees, 17 works are presented - the age group of 3-4 classes and 4 works -grades 1-2. The participants presented their research projects on various topics that aroused their interest. Among the projects were research, experiments, design and technological products.

At the final public defense, the students confirmed their results. The competition was designed to support the interest of young scientists in science and help them develop their talents in this field.

The defense was captured in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. 3rd year students Shadiya Khalikova and Nika Gorchakova helped in organizing the final, conducted a tour of the University. The final round was judged by 5 candidates of pedagogical sciences, PhDs, 5 teachers (young and experienced) from rural and urban schools, 4 Masters students and students of the specialty «Primary Education».

The winners were awarded with gifts and diplomas. The award ceremony was held by the director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology G.A. Abayeva, and the Deputy Director for Science and International Relations M.A. Absatova.

We invited all the younger schoolchildren of Almaty, Almaty and Zhambyl regions who wanted to share their scientific research, take part in this exciting competition and demonstrate their talents in science!
