Presentation of the observatory of dual education «KazDual Observatory»

On April 25, 2023, an open presentation of the work of the KazDual observatory took place. The KazDual observatory was created on the basis of Abai University as part of the implementation of the project "Implementation of the dual system in Kazakhstan - KazDual" under the Erasmus + program.

Chairman of the Board, Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Darkhan Bilyalov, congratulating the participants of the Project, noted that the issues of compliance of the quality of professional training of students with the expectations of the labor market remain relevant today. The quality of professional training of the future young generation is tested by practice, and, as many years of experience show, young people do not always have sufficient professional and social competencies required by the employer. They have to be constantly retrained and adapted to new working conditions in educational institutions, in companies, which requires additional time and resources from employers. One of the most effective solutions to this issue is the wider introduction of dual education.

The presentation of the structural project KAZDUAL "Implementation of a dual system in Kazakhstan" was made by the project coordinator, postdoctoral student Bayan Sapargalieva.

Director of the Department of Academic Progress Raushan Bekmuratova spoke about the course of industrial training of the pilot dual program "Primary education with ICT". This educational program is implemented by the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai University and the partner of the university - NGS New Generation School LLP.

The STEM equipment of the observatory was presented by students of the dual program and Associate Professor Asel Akpayeva.

Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Galiya Abayeva stressed that this project is designed to have an impact on the higher and vocational education systems of Kazakhstan as a whole at the regional and national levels. The ideas of dual education are closely related to the integration of theoretical and practical training of students in order to master the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities in a particular field of activity and strengthening the connection with the practical base.
