Сuratorial hour «We are altruists»

On November 11, 2019,Senior Lecturer of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, PhD Asem Bulshekbaeva organized a curatorial hour with second-year students of the specialty «5B012300 - Social Pedagogy and Self-Knowledge» on the topic «We Are Altruists».

The purpose of the event is to analyze the aspects of social and pedagogical services, to contribute to the formation in society of the values of social responsibility and public services.

Altruism is a moral principle, a willingness to give up one`s interests in favor of others, to seek selfless service to other people. This is the main quality of a social educator.

The work of a social educator was analyzed: he is a consultant, educator, organizer, psychologist, educator, organizing methodologist, and a specialist in the protection of social human rights.

Students were explained the features of the profession, various trainings were held.
