English Speaking Club «Speacasso» for 3-4 course students at Abai KazNPU

On March31, 2021 at 6 p.m.at Abai KazNPU teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education Ualikhanuly A., Ordabayev Ch. K., Abdrakhmanov D.D. organized English Speaking Club for 3-4 year students of the specialty «Foreign language: Two Foreign Languages». The name of the English Speaking Clubis «Speacasso».

Goal of the Club:
- teach students to express their thoughts and understand speech in English;
- feel confident while communicating with foreigners;

- to overcome the language barrierin a short time, learn to maintain conversations in English.

The topic of English Speaking Club was «Superstition in Kazakhstan and Great Britain». Various pictures and video materials with Kazakhstani and British superstitions were prepared and the students had to explain their meaning. Students and teachers took part in the «Speacasso» conversation club and showed great activity. During the conversation club, students were given various tasks for the solid assimilation of the materials they had studied. The teachers prepared a presentation and various materials that stimulated the students to a more debatable atmosphere during the conversation club. Teachers gave students additional motivational tips and lots of fun.

The organizers of this club will conduct freeEnglish Speaking Clubs every month for students of 3-4 courses of the specialty «Foreign language: Two Foreign Languages».
