Cooperation event of the department`s branch

On November 28, 2024, teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology of the Abai KazNPU - Zhanar Kulekenova, Sholpan Sultankulova, Altyn Mysekeeva, Shyryn Akimbekova, together with the director of the K. Koshmambetov secondary school of the Karasai district Bakhyt Kuanysheva organized and held a regional English Olympiad among 11th grade students. The purpose of the Olympiad is to make children aware of the role and importance of the English language in choosing a future profession, to help students test their language level and increase their language commitment.

The Language Olympiad, the tasks of which were prepared by the teachers of the department, consisted of only 4 stages. The opening of the Olympiad was attended by the chief methodologist of the district department of education, school teachers and parents. The Olympiad began at 10.00 a.m. according to the scheduled time and ended at 12.30 p.m. The tasks were checked by the heads of the department - PhD Zhanar Kulekenova, PhD sok Akimbekova, masters Sholpan Sultankulova and Altyn Mysekeeva. Two mini-performances in English were shown to participants and guests before the results of the Olympiad were summed up.

The Olympiad was held at a high level, openly and objectively. In order to avoid questions and problems related to the result, the participants watched and monitored the verification process through the YouTube network.

The Language Olympiad, consisting of four stages, is being held in Karasai district for the first time. This regional Olympiad is considered important not only for the school branch, but also for the Department of Foreign Languages.
