Educational and methodological work at the department is carried out and organized in the following main areas:
- development of new and improvement of the content of the implemented basic educational programs.
- development of educational and methodological materials necessary for conducting and providing methodological support for all types of training sessions;
- updating and supplementing the educational and methodological complexes of the department`s disciplines;
- introduction of innovative technologies in the pedagogical process;
- improvement of methodological skills of teachers of the department;
- study, generalization and dissemination of best pedagogical experience;
- preparation and release of textbooks, teaching aids, collections, etc.

The Department provides information support for educational and methodological activities on the website of the university and the faculty.

Teachers of the Department annually take professional development courses for teachers of pedagogical specialties of the CPA and TO; courses in methods of teaching foreigners the Russian language, innovative teaching methods, research internships at Russian universities (University WEIGHT to them. A. S. Pushkin) and abroad (China, Beijing Institute of foreign languages); on the author`s course: doctor of pedagogical Sciences,Professor V. S. Avanesov Moscow «Application of test forms in the new education and certification technologies»; «Digital teacher» and many others in the University Abaya.

The teaching staff of the department is trained under the program "Additional professional education for students of final courses of universities that train teachers, developed on the basis of level programs for improving the skills of teachers of the Republic of Kazakhstan". These courses are developed and organized by the Center of Pedagogical Skills of AEO "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools".
