CITY CREATIVE COMPETITION "ONERLI USTAZ"

From December 23 to December 29, 2025, the Almaty City Department of Education and the Scientific-Methodological Center for New Technologies in Education organized the "Onerli Ustaz-2025" city creative competition for secondary school teachers of "Music" and "Artistic Labor." Laura Sharipovna Kakimova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor of the Department of Music Education and Choreography at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, was invited to serve as the Chairperson of the Jury.

The aim of the competition was to enhance the professional, methodological and creative competence of modern teachers through art in order to form value orientations, cultural knowledge in the field of music education pedagogy and skills among the younger generation of schoolchildren.

The stages of the competition were:
Round I - master class on the theme "Creative teacher - quality education";
Round II-presentation on "My favorite profession";
The third round is the creative stage "Teacher and art".

The participants presented their original works, performing skills, creative ideas and methodological practices. Their work was evaluated in terms of creativity, artistic taste and the use of innovative methods.

The first round of the competition was held at secondary school No. 187 of the Nauryzbai district of Almaty, where participants demonstrated their competencies by conducting music lessons with schoolchildren, showing:
- the use of AI technologies and methods in music lessons;
- proficiency in public speaking and stage culture, the ability to work with an audience;
- personal creative image and style in promoting national values.

The second final round of the competition was already held at school No. 97 in the Auezovsky district, where the winners of the city competition were identified based on the results of the overall scores. They became:
Grand Prix - Dana Bakbergenovna Chykabayeva, music teacher at Gymnasium No. 206;
1st place - Nurgul Kanatbekovna Alozhaeva, music teacher at gymnasium No. 211;
2nd place - Abilda Sandugash Bakbergenkyzy - music teacher at educational school No. 204;
3rd place - Seilkhanova Ainur Kauataevna - music teacher at secondary school No.141;
- Alfiya Khadieva, music teacher at secondary school No. 57;
- Sagalova Nazim Yerbolatovna is a music teacher at gymnasium No. 138 named after M. Bazarbayev.

The «Onerli Ustaz-2025» competition served as both a starting point for practical approbation and a logical extension of the conceptual framework of the scientific project, ensuring continuity between theoretical research and actual pedagogical practice. It became a continuation of the theoretical ideas of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan research project AP23488786, «Transdisciplinary Research in the Art Education System: Cultural Memory and the Phenomenon of National Values in Modern Content», providing an effective synergy between the research base and live pedagogical creativity. The competition allowed for the validation of the project`s hypothesis: that creative self-actualization directly influences the quality of teaching music disciplines and reveals educators` readiness to utilize not only interdisciplinary links but also a transdisciplinary approach in studying the phenomenon of cultural memory and national values within art education.
