Journey to Hogwarts

On November 3, 2022, the group of the RYAL 101, Department of Russian Language and Literature of Abai University Institute of Philology held event dedicated to the Halloween holiday. The celebration corresponded to the theme of the book and the film «Harry Potter», although the material for the contests was much broader: it was taken from classical Russian and world literature.

The RYAL 201 group took part in the «Three Wizards» tournament, and teachers and students of the RYAL 102 group were invited as spectators. During the breaks between the tours, the students enjoyed the live playing of musicians on the violin and kobyz, and also took part in a mini-quiz.

After winning the last round, the Cogtheuran faculty won the grand prize and generously shared sweets with the other participants.

The first-year students practice their skills as organisers and presenters, and they do it well. The fact that today`s young people are demonstrating a wide erudition and knowledge of fiction is a great pleasure!
