«Boldino» visiting philology students and schoolchildren

On January 27, 2023, the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology of Abai University and Specialized Lyceum No.165 organized an international meeting in the literary lounge «Boldino - the birthplace of Pushkin`s fairy tales». This year marks the 190th anniversary of the writing of the famous fairy tales of A.S. Pushkin. The evening was dedicated to the Year of the Russian Language as the Language of Interethnic communication in the CIS countries.

The guests were welcomed by Tamara Zubkova, Head of the Department of Cooperation in the field of educational projects of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Almaty. Lyceum students under the guidance of their class teacher Olga Streltsova and literature teacher Marina Asylbekova prepared a literary composition with the reading of poems and excerpts from the tales of the great poet.

Natalia Derbeneva, a researcher at the State Literary Memorial and Natural Museum-Reserve of A.S. Pushkin «Boldino», told about the museum, the sights of her region, and the presentation accompanying her story helped the participants of the evening to make an amazing journey through the Boldino estate, to visit the amazing children`s museum of heroes of Pushkin`s fairy tales. Boldino is a unique museum, because the very house where A.S. Pushkin stayed in 1830 and 1833 has been preserved there.

Irina Yukhnova, professor of the Department of Russian Literature of the N.I. Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University, organizer and permanent participant of the famous international scientific conference «Boldinsky Readings», in her speech shared her understanding of Pushkin`s fairy tales, how modern the heroes of his fairy tales are and the problem of humanity over justice is relevant. Modern readers, young and adults, believe A.S.Pushkin unconditionally, because in his fairy tales there is a moral code.

Irina Pereverzeva, the head of the Russian House in Valletta (Malta), spoke about the wisdom that is present in the poet`s fairy tales. The book of translations of A.S. Pushkin`s poetry into Maltese, the joint reading of the poet`s poems by students of the Russian language courses of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in the Republic of Malta are those big projects that unite people from different countries.

In her closing speech, the head of the department Saule Abisheva thanked the guests and participants of the meeting. She expressed the general opinion: Pushkin`s poetry is close and necessary to everyone today, because his fairy tales and poems contain the axiological aspect of goodness, correctness, wisdom and justice.

All the participants of the evening: schoolchildren, students, teachers - were grateful to the organizers not only for the informative richness of the speeches, but also for the positive, emotional and spiritual mood of the meeting.
