Meeting with Professor U.M. Bakhtikireeva Held at the Department of Russian Language and Literature On May 30, 2026, the Department of Russian Language and Literature of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted a meeting with U.M. Bakhtikireeva, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor at the Institute of Russian Language of RUDN University, Leading Research Fellow at the A.M. Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal Polylinguality and Transcultural Practices.
As part of her visit, Professor Bakhtikireeva delivered an open lecture addressing current issues in contemporary philology, multilingualism, and the development of research in the humanities. The lecture attracted considerable interest from both faculty members and students, providing a platform for professional discussion on contemporary trends in linguistics and literary studies.
Professor Bakhtikireeva also visited the Abai Library, where she held a working meeting with Sultan Yertay, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, and faculty members M.M. Mirzakhmetov, D.A. Sabirova, and A.U. Baibolov. The participants discussed the development of research activities, publication strategies, academic cooperation, and prospects for future collaboration.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of open and constructive professional dialogue and became an important step toward strengthening academic ties between Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University and leading research and educational institutions. The participants expressed mutual interest in further developing joint research and educational initiatives
