Career guidance work among medical college students

One of the key needs of modern medicine is the introduction of psychological support in the treatment process. In this area, a special role is played by a clinical psychologist, whose activities are aimed at maintaining and restoring mental and somatic health, as well as identifying factors that hinder the harmonious development of the patient`s personality or complicate his treatment.

On November 30, 2024, a lecturer at the Department of General and Applied Psychology of Abai Kunslu Tusubekov KazNPU and a 1st-year undergraduate student of the specialty «7M03118 - Health Psychology with the basics of psychotherapy» Aruzhan Smagulova together with a psychologist of the Higher Medical and Dental College Professor Ruzuddinova Aizhan Uspanova conducted career guidance work with students.

The main purpose of the event was to familiarize college students with the prestige of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, its specialties, as well as the profession of a clinical psychologist. As part of the program, Kunslu Tusubekova and undergraduate Aruzhan Smagulova conducted various psychological techniques and trainings aimed at increasing students` interest in the profession of psychologist, as well as attracting their attention to important areas of all specialties KazNPU named after Abai.
