«Modern condition and development prospects applied psychology»

Department of «General and Applied Psychology» of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology KazNPU them. Abaya held a scientific-practical seminar «The current state and prospects for the development of applied psychology» on topical issues of modern applied psychology.

The seminar had a practical orientation and was intended for teachers of higher and secondary schools, practical psychologists working in various fields of modern society: human resources management, production activities and business, economics, science, national security and law enforcement, education, sports, healthcare, etc.., for students, undergraduates, doctoral students, as well as for all interested in the development of applied psychology in Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the seminar was to increase the scientific and methodological level and professional competence of psychologists in the applied aspects of activity.

During the seminar the following events were held:
1. Review of the current state of applied psychology and the definition of growth points for Kazakhstan`s applied psychology.
2. Presentations, poster presentations and conducting trainings and master classes.
3. Presentation of certificates.

The moderators of the seminar were:

More than 100 students, teachers and trainers took part in the seminar. All participants expressed their appreciation for the organization, content and results of the seminar and expressed a wish to continue the work of this seminar on an ongoing basis.

The variety of innovative transformations carried out today in educational institutions requires serious scientific and methodological support. Currently, the system of educational and methodical work of the department is a problem of the formation of psychological fundamental and applied knowledge among future specialists.

The work of the scientific - methodical section of the department was carried out in accordance with the selected priority problem. Over the past period were held: meetings of the teaching section of the department (responsible Tusubekova K.K., Zhigitbekova B.D.).

Methodical seminars: Candidate of Psychology, associate professor Nurgaliyeva U.S. "Features of the use of active teaching methods" and others. Teachers of the department are actively involved in the development of model curricula. Educational work programs, syllabuses and the entire package of necessary educational and methodological documentation have been developed for all the subjects taught. The teachers of the department have developed working curricula in both languages for full-time and part-time education.
