Creative competition «Abai Umіtі» among the children of university staff

With the support of the local trade union of Abai KazNPU in the framework of the 175th anniversary of the great Abai, a creative competition «Abai Umіtі» is held for children of university staff and teachers who have mastered expressive reading skills.

The goal is to acquaint the younger generation with the life and work of the great poet and thinker, to introduce poetry and Kazakh literature in general.

The competition will be held in an online form. Children make a 1-3-minute video of expressive reading of Abai`s poems and send them to us. Videos can be shot on various topics, depending on the skill, ingenuity of the contestant and the work he chooses.

Submitted works are considered depending on the age of the participants:
- preschool age;
- primary school students;
- pupils in middle (5-7) grades.

Applications are accepted from May 20 to May 28, 2020. A jury will be formed to evaluate the work of the contestants and determine the winners and prize winners. The results of the competition will be announced on June 1 in the university`s social networks.

The video will be posted on Instagram and Facebook, as well as on the university`s website.

The video should include the child`s full name, a copy of the birth certificate, the name of the class and school, and the parent`s place of work. Send this information to the WhatsApp number of the organizers. Prizes will be awarded to participants of each age category.

The winners of the competition will be awarded with special diplomas and valuable gifts from the rector of the university.
