Social and educational work is carried out both directly in the classroom with students and in groups, and in their free time. The emphasis is on patriotic, educational, labor, cultural and aesthetic education.

The main components of the educational work of the department are designed and implemented taking into account the need to form a creative, competitive, intelligent personality capable of continuous creative self-development in the conditions of university education.

To carry out permanent educational work, advisors are assigned to each specialty. During the entire academic period, the advisors conduct organizational, methodological and consulting work with students aimed at assisting in the development of the educational program.

In accordance with the Plan of educational work of the department, versatile work is carried out aimed at:

- stimulating students to active social activities;
- promotion of the idea of getting a quality education;
- formation of personal responsibility;
- increase of active citizenship;
- development of positive value orientations;
- increase of creative activity;
- development of organizational skills;
- formation of ideas about a healthy lifestyle;
- instilling skills of spiritual and physical self-improvement;
- formation of a sense of corporate community.

Educational work is carried out in the following areas:

- advisory activities in academic groups;
- participation in ongoing general institute and university events;
- thematic shifts in the university dormitory.

In accordance with these directions, the department uses the following forms of educational work:

- organization of meetings of students with the management and teachers of the department;
- implementation of operational control over the course of the educational process and the progress of students;
- organization of students` social life, holding meetings and personal conversations with students;
- attracting students to participate in conferences, competitions;
- visiting thematic exhibitions;
