Information about organization of spring semester in the 2020/2021 academic year At Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University

For all undergraduate courses, the spring semester classes will start in online format in accordance with the Academic Calendar 2020/2021 academic year. To provide the organization of educational process in spring semester 2020/2021 academic year in mixed format (lectures and seminars-distance, laboratory and practical classes of applied character with observance of sanitary measures and social distance of 2 meters - in mixed format) only for 1st year students in all directions of study. In the presence of medical indications, 1st year students have the right to continue distance learning on the basis of an application.

1st year students are trained according to the specified schedule in offline format:

01.02.2021 - for 1st year students of Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports;

08.02.2021 - for the 1st year students of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Geography;

Other institutes, Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute, Institute of History and Law study online. If sanitary and epidemiological conditions improve, they will be invited to study in March this year.

The 2nd and 3rd year students study in a blended format (modular system) with social distance and reinforced sanitary measures in the following fields of study:

- Pedagogical Sciences («Training of Physical Education Teachers»);

- Arts;

- Science, Mathematics and Statistics;

For 4th year students, training is organised in a mixed format depending on the areas of study in accordance with the academic policy and the academic calendar of the university (organisation of pre-degree and professional practice, conduct of final examinations).

For Master`s and Doctoral students:

Based on the academic policy and the academic calendar of the University will be continued theoretical training of Master and PhD students remotely and (if necessary) in blended learning formats (modular system) and creating conditions for the implementation of research, pass their final attestation in accordance with individual plans.

International students, as well as those taking preparatory courses, will continue their studies in the distance learning format.

Limit international academic mobility and internships.
