Festival «Kazakhstan - Ortak Shaniraguimyz»


On 14 September, 2018 in Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University within the framework of the project «Kazakhtanu» was held the annual festival «Kazakhstan - Ortak Shaniraguimyz», dedicated to the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan.


The purpose of the event is to preserve the integrity of the multinational people of Kazakhstan, the development of interest in the cultural heritage and the desire to master the languages of the people living in Kazakhstan.


The moderators of the event were the Head of the Chair of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Abai KazNPU Georgy Kahn and the director of PGI «Kogamdyk kelіsim» of the apparatus of akim of Almaty Zhannat Murunova.


The first vice-rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Maktagali Bektemisov congratulated all the gathered. «Representatives of different nationalities live in our country. They study the Kazakh language, support and develop the status of the state language. Our university trains students of different nationalities who perfectly know not only their native language, but also the state language, as well as foreign languages. It is symbolic and gratifying that the event takes place at our university, where on May 23 of this year the Chair of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was opened, one of the tasks of which is the comprehensive development of the national cultures, languages and traditions of the peoples of Kazakhstan» said Maktagali Abdimazhitovich.


Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Deputy Chairman of the Almaty Korean National Center, Head of the APK Chair Georgy Kahn, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Chairman of the Association of Kurds of Kazakhstan "Barbang", Head of the Chair of Oriental Languages, Kniyaz Mirzoyev and Doctor of Political Science, Head of the Chair of history Zhomart Simtikov. In their speeches they noted the importance and significance of the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan, stressing that this is a universal, national holiday, a tribute to the languages of all nationalities living in Kazakhstan.


Within the framework of the festival, a film about Kazakhstani Koreans was demonstrated. After the official part ethno-cultural associations presented their creative musical numbers. After the event, the festival participants and activists who contributed to the strengthening of public harmony and national unity, were awarded letters of thanks and memorable souvenirs.
