Name of the vacant position:

Senior Expert of the Development Strategy Support Unit of the Strategy Department

The main functional responsibilities of the structural unit:

- Organise and ensure the strategic planning process (conduct strategic planning sessions, activities to develop strategic goals, work out the ways to achieve strategic goals);

- Elaboration of University Development Strategy;

-Providing consulting services to the structural units of the University Development Strategy;

- Monitoring of the Strategy implementation plan;

- Organization and coordination of the University participation in world rankings (institutional, subject, employability parameters, etc.);

Main job responsibilities:

- Participate in the organisation of the monitoring of the Development Strategy Implementation Plan;

- Participation in the organisation and implementation of strategic sessions, activities to develop strategic goals, elaboration of the ways to achieve the strategic goals

- Participation in the preparation of the presentation of the Strategy;

- Participation in ensuring that the structural units are informed about the adopted Strategy;

- Participation in the development and analysis of the Development Strategy Implementation Plan;

- Participation in the collection of data to input information into the databases of international rankings (QS, THE, Greenmetric WUR, etc.);

- Interaction with other specialists and heads of structural units of the university, as well as institutions, organisations and communities.

Going on business trips:

There is a need.

Education:

Higher education. An academic degree is welcome  

Required professional experience (duration, field, other)

At least one (1) year

Professional Competencies:

- Ability to work with documentation;

- Ability to process and analyse textual and statistical information and draw conclusions;

- Ability to work in a team;

- Ability to translate documents (from Russian to Kazakh, etc.);

- Ability to present thoughts clearly and correctly.

Personal competences and qualities:

Communicability, conscientiousness, active life position, stress resistance, creativity, presence of organizational abilities, punctuality, easily trainable, neatness.

Knowledge of languages, including the national language (list of languages the candidate must be proficient in)

Kazakh - fluent;

Russian - fluent;

English will be an advantage.

Computer skills:

Good command of MS Office package (Word, Outlook), Excel, GoogleDrive/Docs/Meet, ZOOM, PowerPoint, Prezi, Canva, working with SocialMedia, email.

The number of staff required:

1 (one) (during maternity leave)
