Introductory meeting for first-year students

On September 2, the faculty of the Department of World History of the Institute of History and Law held an adaptation meeting for first-year students of the specialty «History-Geography» and «History-Religious Studies». The purpose of the meeting is to implement systematic measures that contribute to the successful adaptation to the educational and educational activities of students of the new set. Familiarization with the internal regulatory documents of the university, the university guide, organization of acquaintance with the requirements and specifics of studying at Abai university, familiarization with the educational programs of specialties, work on the formation of the team of the group, group culture, development of skills of interaction with the staff of the department, institute (with the administration, teaching staff), the formation of an active life position and social activity students, familiarization with the extracurricular activities of first-year students.

The new student audience was congratulated by the head of the Department of World History Rustem K.M., who explained the specifics of specialties and educational programs, academic policy and academic calendar of students. Other teachers of the department also spoke to the students, who explained how to log into the UNIVER system, internal regulations and requirements for student learning activities. It was emphasised at the meeting that the role of students in the progressive development of society is significant, as they form a generation that will continue the work of their elders, but at a higher level of social development.
