Knowledge Day holiday was held at Abai KazNPU at a high level

Today, all regions of the country widely celebrate Knowledge Day. This holiday was organized at the highest level at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. Opening the event, Rector Takir Balykbayev congratulated university teachers, students and their parents on Knowledge Day and the beginning of a new school year.

«This year, our university accepted 4350 new students. I want to say that young people from different regions of the country who want to become teachers did not choose our university by chance, and I would like to note that we have a full and high-quality education. This ceremony dedicated to the Day of Knowledge will surely be remembered by our youth. This is a historic day, that opens the door to higher education, to new knowledge. From this day, the student years at the university begin, with lectures in classrooms, scientific work in libraries and laboratories; it is an exciting and challenging life». 

«Our university is a large educational institution that trains teachers in all disciplines. Therefore, the adoption by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the draft law «On the status of teachers» is good news for us. And now our young people, who decided to become a teacher, should look into the future with confidence», said Takir Balykbayev.

The rector gave the 1st year students a key, as well as a symbolic student card.

Professor Bakhytzhan Khasenova, Director of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, Professor Baltabay Abdigaziev also congratulated students and teachers on the beginning of the new school year.

White doves, red and green balloons that were launched into the sky, made the holiday a unique and bright event. Stars of the Kazakh stage Akbota Kerimbekova, Nurzhan Kalzhan and students of our university performed songs. The holiday ended with a hymn and a flash mob of students.
