In the QS EECA ranking among pedagogical universities of the country KazNPU took 1st place

The world ranking of universities Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has published new indicators for developing countries in Europe and Central Asia. The rating was announced on October 15, 2019 at the QS in Conversation conference in Kaunas. The new international ranking of universities includes 24 Kazakhstan universities.

Among domestic universities, Abai KazNPU entered the top 10 universities of the country, taking 105th place in the world ranking. Among pedagogical universities of Kazakhstan Abai KazNPU takes steadily the first place.

The rating reflects the efforts undertaken by universities in Eastern Europe and Central Asia to improve their international reputation, create international networks of cooperation with their partners, attract talented foreign students and create worthy competition in the global education market.

Given the particular challenges facing universities, QS developed a special technique for evaluating their work. Among the parameters are the presence on the Internet, the share of employees with scientific degrees, international cooperation and so on.

In total, in this rating, universities are evaluated by 10 criteria: in addition to academic reputation and authority among employers, the ratio of teachers and students, the number of publications per employee, international scientific relations, the influence of the university on the Internet, the share of employees with a PhD degree, citation, the share of foreign employees are important and students. Each criterion contributes to the overall assessment of the university.
