The history of the profession was founded in 2001 at the Faculty of Psychology and Education. Since 2001, the specialty "031240 - primary military training and physical education" has been opened at the Department of Primary School Pedagogy. In 2004, the specialty "050104 - Initial military training" was renamed the bachelor`s degree in accordance with the rules of "higher professional education". Persons who have successfully passed the final certification for mastering the professional curriculum of higher education in the specialty "050104-Initial military training" since 2010 are awarded the academic degree "Bachelor of Education" in the specialty 5B010400 - "Initial military training".
In this regard, since the 2007/2008 academic year, the department of "Theory and methodology of Physical culture and initial military training" has been opened. In 2009, by the decision of the university council, the faculty of "PES and IMT" was opened.
In 2013-2024, the department was part of the Institute of Art, Culture and Sports. Since 2024, the Department of Initial Military Training has been part of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Initial Military Training and will continue to function in accordance with the generally mandatory state standard of education in the training of teaching staff.
All activities of the Department of primary military training have high civil and social responsibility, are capable and qualified to carry out professional and scientific-pedagogical activities:
- B004 - Bachelor of educational programs "Training of teachers of primary military training";
- M004 - Master of educational programs "Training of teachers of primary military training";
- D004 - Educational programs "Training of teachers of primary military training" are aimed at preparing a doctor of philosophy (PhD).
2 educational programs are being implemented in the direction "6B014 - Teacher training with a subject specialization of general development" (bachelor`s degree):
- 6B01401 - Initial military training;
- 6B01408 - Initial military training - physical education and sports.
1 educational program is being implemented in the direction "7M014-Training of teachers with a subject specialization of general development" (master`s degree):
- 7M01401 - Initial military training;
The educational program "8D01401 - Initial military training" in the direction of training teachers of the subject specialization of general development 8D014 (doctoral studies) prepares future PhD doctors for scientific and pedagogical activities in the field of education of initial military training, possessing high professional and research skills.
Currently, the Department of Education of Primary Military Training employs 1 Doctor of Military Sciences, associate Professor; 2 Candidates of Sciences, associate professors; 2 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), senior teachers; 10 Masters of Science, senior teachers.
The teaching staff of the Department of Primary Military Education consists of experienced specialists, well-known scientists of the Republic. They are the authors of textbooks for university students, textbooks, textbooks for students of secondary schools, educational and methodological complexes.
The results of the research work of the teaching staff are used in the course of the lesson, in the content of lectures and laboratory practical classes.
Constant work aimed at increasing international relations is carried out in accordance with the new system of education in the field of education.
The Department of Education of Primary Military Training conducts various social and educational activities. Students actively participate in annual student conferences, university and national competitions and take prizes.
Classrooms and classrooms of the Department of Primary Military Education are provided with new information tools, computers, interactive whiteboards that meet the qualification requirements of the organization of education and the requirements of the state general educational standard.
The subject of pedagogical activity: the main types of pedagogical activity are traditionally education and training.
Practice bases: №33, №35, №145, №2, №123, №204, №74, №13 institutions of secondary education, gymnasiums.
Initial military training for the employment of young specialists is provided at the bases where the annual practice is held. In addition, young professionals work in the above-mentioned school organizations with work experience.
