Kazakh Universities in the QS rankings

January 22, 2016 at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai took place the International Training Seminars  "Kazakhstan universities in the rankings QS: rules of the game and the growth points" and "Promotion of the University in the international arena" for rectors, vice-rectors, directors of institutes, heads of chairs. The organizers are the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, the rating agency QS (UK) and educational holding «Study Innovations».
Purpose of the seminars: to provide recommendations to promote the education of the Kazakhstan in the international arena, as well as improving the position of Kazakhstan universities in the world rankings.
At the inauguration of First Vice Rector of the KazNPU named after Abai Yermaganbetov M. welcomed the participants and wished them fruitful work.
During the seminars, presentations were made by QS Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Zoya Zaitseva, who conducted a review of existing QS rankings, new methodologies and allocation of growth points for Kazakh universities.
Rating of the best universities in the world (QS World University Rankings) - is a global survey and the accompanying list of the best higher educational institutions of global significance in terms of their achievements in the field of education and science. Designed in 2004 Quacquarelli Symonda together with the British publication Times Higher Education.
Rating evaluates universities on the following criteria: quality of the activities and research activities, the opinion of employers and career potential, labor education and internationalization. Each year, the study evaluated over 2,500 institutions of higher education around the world. According to the results of rating the top 500 universities in the world.
The seminars allowed the participants to take into account the criteria for the promotion of the university in the global educational space.
