Opening of the student exhibition on the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On December 1, 2020, as part of the traditional project «Best Plein Air», a reporting student art exhibition dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was opened with the support of the University Rector.

The project, which started in the Year of Youth at the initiative of the Student Rectorate, and practical outdoor activities organized for students of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports in the Almaty region, were suspended due to the pandemic. Despite this, the project has not lost its importance thanks to the search for other ways of professional growth of students and support of their creative activity, which consists in the creation of conditions for improvement, an increase of motivation of beginning artists.

Thus, the best works of 2-5 year students and master`s students of the Institute, named by the results of 2020, were decorated by a baguette and transferred to the university fund, five of them were awarded a special prize by the rector.

Rector Takir Balykbayev, who took part in the exhibition, said, summarising the results of the event, that the brightest works will be presented in the future at prestigious exhibitions, in social projects, will decorate the walls of dormitories and educational buildings, as well as will be solemnly handed over to guests of honor of the University.

It was noted that in the near future, in the transition to the traditional system of education, new plenaries are planned for 2021 dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Zhambyl Zhabayev and the 30th anniversary of the independence of the country.

The Rector thanked the organisers - the University`s Student Rectorate, Smart Student Youth Initiatives Support Centre, teachers and students of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports for successfully conducting and actively participating in this project. He also congratulated all students and teachers on the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, emphasizing the absolute importance of the Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev in strengthening the young state, which appeared on the world map in the early 90s of the twentieth century.
